John started off with some terminology, identifying wheels and components. Then the class moved right into removing rear wheels, tires, tubes, chains, disengaging brakes and putting everything back together. We also had comfort, road, and mountain bikes represented--great to see the different types of bikes and talk about the distinctions and merits of each.

A great start to our ladies class series. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Pics are here.

Room for 4 More

We only have room for 4 more women in our ladies-only bike mechanics class offered Wednesday, January 13th.

The class will be taught by local pro bike mechanic, John Gaz, and will focus on terminology, flats, chains, and basic maintenance. This is a unique opportunity for women interested in learning about bike mechanics in a comfortable, welcoming environment.

If you want to learn the basics, to know more about your bike and keep it running smoothly, or to talk more confidently and with more knowledge about your bike, then this class is for you!

Level 2, 3 and 4 will be offered Feb-April.
